My name is Aviana Jackson, and I am a creative born and raised in Charleston, SC. For as long as I can remember I have always expressed myself through art. Using graphite, color pencil, and acrylic paint, I celebrate the beauty of the Black body. My work illustrates the connection between Black women and the earth, capturing the ways both create and sustain ecosystems. Through my pencil and paint brush, I transform difficult times and emotions such as stress, uncertainty, and "lockdown" into beauty.
